One of my favorite people in the blogging (and real world, since she is one of the few I have actually met live and in person!) is Bonnie. Bonnie has many blogs that I read all the time, including Bonnie's Books, Words from a Wordsmith, and Book Around the World, to name just a few. And I am honored to call her my friend.

A few days ago, she bestowed upon me a MWAH!, an acknowledgment that made me smile. Here is what she had to say about it:

"So, the point (and I do have one) to this post is motivated by my desire to hand some of that love and kindness back around to those who have been so very, very, very good to me in this bloggy world. My hope is that those who receive this award will pass it on to those who have been very, very, very good to them as well. It's a big kiss, of the chaste platonic kind, from me to you with the underlying 'thanks' message implied. I really do appreciate your support and your friendship and yes, your comments. ... Mwah!" (actually this quote came from the original post, but you get my drift, right? )

So....with a huge thanks to Bonnie (and a big MWAH back to you), I would like to take a few minutes and throw out a couple of my own:

Kookie, from A Fraternity of Dreamers - Kookie makes me laugh with her obsession with The Flight of the Concords, Lost and Heroes. But her views and reviews seem so in line with mine, that I claim her as a soul sister.

JP from Bombastic Bagman - JP is a relatively new friend in the blogging world, but is a great guy. He has the same taste in books and movies that I do, although I have to teach him about American Football. Cause Rugby and Cricket are his passions, and I know next to nothing about either of them!!

Chris from Book-A-Rama - I "met" Chris through an online Classics Club over 3 years ago. She's a stay-at-home Mom, has great taste in books, and we started our blogs at virtually the same time. I love her book related posts!!

Bellezza from Dolce Bellezza - A fellow Illinoisan, Bellezza is a teacher. She also has the most beautiful way with words. Ever sentence she writes has meaning and I'm always eager for a new post.

Debi from Nothing of Importance - Debi is also a new-to-me blogger. She writes with passion about her kids, which is something that I admire. She also has great taste in books (which basically equates to a taste that is similar to me!!) I'm so glad I found Debi's blog!!

Carl from Stainless Steel Droppings - Carl's passion for Books, art and movies shines through every sentence he writes. He hosts the most fantastic challenges and "experiences". Besides, he was my Secret Santa this year and a truly great guy!!

Chris from Stuff as Dreams are Made On - I've decided that Chris is my long-lost little brother because we are so alike. Not only is he sweet, but he is devoting his life to counseling kids in need. Talk about a guy with a heart. You won't find one bigger than Chris'. And he loves his books!! Great taste (you know where this is going!) He has recommended books to me that I have adored. Keep those recommendations pouring in!!

Nymeth from Things Mean Alot - Nymeth organized the Blogger Secret Santa exchange this year and it was a HUGE success!! She seems to be a World Traveler these days (cause I never know where she's going to be!) Out of all the blogs I read, hers has shown me more great books (that I never would have considered) than any other.

Finally....Andi from Tripping Toward Lucidity - Not only does Andi teach, she writes for various e-zines including her own, Estella's Revenge. She's smart, funny, and has a great head on her shoulders. (and her views are really similar to mine. Guess that's why I think she's so smart!!) I love reading Estella's Revenge and her blog whenever I have a few spare seconds.

Well...I wish I had time to say more. Cause I love each and every blog in my blogroll. So, I'll leave with a big MWAH to all of you!! Thank you so much for enriching my life and being my friends!! I'd love to meet you all in person some day!!

Wow, thank you Stephanie and a huge, wet 'Mwah' back at ya! I know that if we ever met, we would have the rockin-est best time ever. Soul sister...I like that. :)

And all of your other choices are excellent bloggers to bestow Mwahs on. As usual, your taste is impeccable.

Debi said...

Oh wow, thanks Stephanie! And right back at you!!! I would have said the exact same things about you as you did about me! Seriously.

And do I ever feel honored to be on a list with those people! It truly would be just the most amazing thing if we could all just get together somewhere, wouldn't it?!!

Kookie - You are very welcomed. It's much deserved. It's weird to log on and read something that someone else has written....and it looks and sounds just like yourself. We are definitely soul sisters!!

Stephanie said...

Debi - Thank you too. For visiting my blog and being such a great new friend!! Yes, I think one of these days, a blogger "convention" is a must!!

Chris said...

Hehe! *blush* Thanks Stephanie. We must think alike because I would have given a 'Mwah' to all those same bloggers.

Nymeth said...

Awww Stephanie, thank you so much! A Mwah back to you! I'd like to mwah a lot of the people on your list, too, and I completely agree with the nice things you said about them.

A blogger convention would be great, wouldn't it? Maybe someday, if we all win the lottery :P

That is just so sweet, Stephanie. Here I am, feeling a bit discouraged today, and you just totally cheered me up. A big kiss and thank you, to you too! It's great to share this (lovely?) Illinois weather together, as well as a love of books and a sympathetic heart.

Awwww! A big Mwah right back at ya ;) And honestly, I'd say the same words right back to you...I swear, I think we were separated at birth sometimes. Your blog has been one of my favorites that I've found this year. I love it when you throw out a new post...they always manage to make me smile! And like Debi said, I'm honored to be on such a great list of really would be great if we could have a big get together! Thanks again Steph :)

Chris - A well-deserved Mwah! I love reading your blog AND your reviews. This book blogging community IS rather small! I think a lot of us frequent the same sites!

Nymeth - You have single-handedly increased my TBR from a little pile to a huge mountain!! I love your take on books, and you always find ones I've never heard of before.

Bellezza - Sorry you were having a not-so-great day, but I'm glad I made you smile!! I love to read your blog becauwe you put so much of yourself into it. And actually the weather today was pretty good. Almost 60!!

Chris - Any time! As with all of them, yours was well-deserved. Just like you, I'm so glad I found YOUR blog. It constantly makes me smile. Especially at how alike we seem to be.

and a big mwah! to you too...!

(hang on, i've just had an email alert telling me that you've posted on my blog! how weird!)

and i'm all for learning about american football. i love sport! so when are you going to teach me?

Carl V. said...

Right back at ya!!! :)

JP - Thanks!! Of course, I love to read your blog, and I now no more about Rugby and Cricket than I ever thought I would. Oh...American Football is so much fun! (just ask Carl or Chris, but don't listen to them when you are choosing a team to root for!! LOL!) My dad and I used to watch together, so I know all the rules and the teams. I'll have to start some lessons!

Carl - Thanks!! Again, yours is another one of my favorite finds of last year. Such a great blog.

i'd love to learn more about american football... but then, of course, its such an effort to teach people about these things. its much easier if you're sitting in someone's living room and describing the play.

still, if you were to contextualise or explain the odd thing when you write about football then i'd love that. also, my loyalty isn't quite decided yet... i'm rather leaning toward usc as a college team, 'cause my friend stephane supports them, but as for a pro team, i don't have any "loyalties" yet. i am, of course, more inclined to support someone from my blogging community, like you, chris, carl or jeff...

JP - You are right. It's definitely easier to explain to a person that is sitting next to you on the couch when a game is going on!!

Sorry....I'm not a USC fan, but they are definitely a dynstasy right now. Some really great players are coming out of there.

As far as pro goes, it's really a regional thing. Being from Illinois, I'm truly a Chicago Bears fan. Although they had a horrible year, they are still a fun team to watch. Their defense was plagued with injuries this year...and they are SO in need of a good QB to lead them. But the Bears have so much TRADITION. They've been around forever, it seems and have had some truly great players. (My personal favorite being Walter "Sweetness" Payton. I cried like a baby the day he died.)
